Aiding the Belle

Everyone in Lin'an City knew that the Earl of Dongping had a young daughter he treasured in the palm of his hand. The girl had been raised at home, delicate and sweet, innocent and naive.

Then an imperial decree came, and the frail young girl was bestowed upon Prince Ning, the most fearsome man in all of Great Qi.

Rumor had it that Prince Ning was ugly and terrifying, with a fierce, menacing appearance.

On their wedding night, Prince Ning looked at the young girl, who was sobbing uncontrollably, sighed, and removed his mask. "Do you still think I'm terrifying and ugly?"

Jiaojiao tugged at Prince Ning's sleeve and wiped away her tears. "N-No, you're not ugly?"

Later, the delicate young girl became the only person who could frighten Prince Ning.
