How Could a Fan Favorite Possibly Be an Alpha?

Wu Yu transmigrated into a danmei novel called "Wait for Me to Mark You" and became the vicious male supporting character who coveted the protagonist gong and constantly targeted the protagonist shou. In the original story, every supporting character gave in to Wen Xuan's irresistible charm, becoming his admirers, confidants, and best buddies. Only Wu Yu spent years diligently making trouble for Wen Xuan, earning himself a thoroughly miserable end. After transmigrating, Wu Yu remembered that everyone in the book except him ended up paired off and happily ever after, and couldn't help shedding tears of envy. Who wouldn't want a good life? From then on, Wu Yu worked hard to change Wen Xuan's opinion of him. He stubbornly made himself part of the protagonist shou's circle of friends and cut off all ties with the protagonist gong! According to the original plot, all they had to do was wait for Wen Xuan to undergo his second differentiation and become an omega, and the gong and shou could finally be together. But unexpectedly, on the night Wen Xuan differentiated, he became an alpha. His pheromones were so overpowering that every alpha within ten miles wanted to drop to their knees. No alpha survived. All the alphas who had pursued Wen Xuan were unable to withstand the force of his pheromones and gave up on him. Wu Yu was stunned when he saw the character setting go off the rails, then burst out laughing and clapped Wen Xuan on the shoulder. "Bro, there are plenty of good omegas around. If that doesn't work out, you can go for an alpha too. With pheromones as strong as yours, overpowering one will be no problem." Wen Xuan glanced at the gloating man beside him, chuckled, and reached up to touch Wu Yu's neck. "I'm not going for an alpha. I'm going for you." Wu Yu: "..."
