Welcome to the Luck-Above-All Game Room

[I’ve revised the opening to make it more uplifting. I’m truly sorry.] On a deserted island, the waves crashed nearby, and the ground trembled. A table covered with dice was surrounded by people. The rule card in front of them clearly stated: Welcome to the Game Room of Luck Above All The rules are as follows 1. Dice decide everything, including your starting attributes. 2. This is an open world. Explore as you please. 3. Either escape, or die. Shen Lin raised his chin at the person sitting across from him. “You roll first. I’m so lucky, I’m afraid I’ll scare you to death.” A steady, cold, unlucky top who can’t pay to change his fate, versus a young master with EX-level luck from the moment he was born, cherished by heaven itself Please note: 1. Long novel ahead. 2. The game is played like a tabletop role-playing game, with a COC (Cthulhu) setting. Rules are based on the 7th edition, with mountains of original additions! Don’t take it too seriously, haha. It’s okay if you don’t understand it. I don’t either. 3. Nonsensical, stream-of-consciousness style, with Cthulhu handing out candy. 4. Enjoy! 5. Going VIP on Friday, October 16. Next novel: I Hunted Across the Globe Blurb: Xie Xingchen was pulled into a real monster-hunting game. This world was cruel and bloody, governed by only one rule: “Might makes right.” Everyone thought the frail young man, whose only redeeming feature was his pretty face, wouldn’t survive his first mission. That was until he dragged a monster more than ten times his size into a tavern, kicked the door open, and dumped a huge bag of gold coins onto the table. Xie Xingchen lazily took off his gloves and smiled. “Beautiful landlady, bring me a drink as strong as you are.” A smooth talker, a shameless flirt, a mad beauty Theme: Never bow to fate.
