Household Immortal

[Upcoming modern supernatural story, welcome to add it to your collection!] Yuan Yang had only enjoyed a few days of warm offerings after becoming a household guardian spirit before he took a calamity meant for his family and fell into a deep sleep. When he awoke again, he discovered that among the descendants of his once thriving family, only one remained. This unworthy descendant looked perfectly respectable, but he had no steady job, constantly attracted ghosts and monsters, had no friends at all, and was a complete disaster at looking after himself. In a huff, Yuan Yang cleaned up after the unworthy descendant, arranged a job for him, paid the utility bills, sorted out his social and medical insurance, and cut off his garbage takeout habit. In the middle of the night, he squatted by the bed and sent the unworthy descendant a dream in which he glared furiously, whiskers twitching. Yuan Yang: "Meow, meow, meow, meow! Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow!" You unworthy descendant! Look at the state you're in! Good thing this cat is here to take care of you! Liang Suizhou, former director of the Bureau of Ghost and Monster Affairs, had spent the day fretting over his resignation. When he opened his eyes in the middle of the night, he saw a gorgeous white-haired lion cat with mismatched eyes perched by his bed. Liang Suizhou: "..." Did the government give him a cat to keep him from quitting? Maybe he could reconsider resigning. [Please note] 1.
