A Pigeon Spirit's Road to Redemption

Bai Ge is a professional ghoster of thirty years' standing: a streamer, author, content creator, and voice actor. The number of fans he's ghosted could circle H City.

Then one day, he turned into a literal pigeon and got a special Pigeon King System to boot.

System: "Hello, dear! This is your very own Pigeon King System. Congratulations on winning the Pigeon King Championship!"

Bai Ge: "I didn't! I haven't! I never entered!"

System: "Your fans signed you up, dear!"

Bai Ge: "..."

System: "Dear, you can only turn back into a human when your Pigeon Points drop below the safe threshold of 60."

Bai Ge looked at the stats hovering above his head: Diligence Points 0, Pigeon Points 100. It seemed like it should be easy enough.

System: "Dear, you need to obtain other people's Diligence Points to lower your Pigeon Points. The exchange rate is 100 Diligence Points for 1 Pigeon Point."

Bai Ge counted on his claws. That meant he needed 4,000 Diligence Points. Looking at the passersby, each with a two-digit Diligence score above their head, he fell silent...

System: "Dear, since you won the first Pigeon King Championship, we've prepared a special little perk just for you."

Bai Ge's eyes lit up. Could it be the legendary golden finger?

System: "You can turn into a human on the night of the full moon on the fifteenth of every month. Of course, you'll turn back into a pigeon the next morning."

Bai Ge: "Get lost!"
