My Sweet Darling

[Don't Read This, Whatever You Do]

Song Xiaoran left the grand estate of a powerful family and opened a little restaurant. The noble ladies munched on melon seeds and waited to laugh at her, never expecting her business to thrive or for her to win the heart of a perfect husband. Her days became sweeter than honey cakes.

Li Su was being hunted when he stumbled by chance into a little restaurant. Who could have guessed the proprietress would knock him flat and then demand compensation? As time went by, he owed her more and more favors. He could only repay her kindness in kind, with himself.

Song Xiaoran: I need a bodyguard to protect my home and business.

Li Su: I don't want to. I refuse.

Song Xiaoran: I need someone to taste my dishes and pastries.

Li Su: I never eat sweets.

Song Xiaoran: I need a husband.

Li Su: ...I suppose I can agree to that.

A story about taking it all back once you say you don't want it.
