Love and Hate at the Root

One day, Yu Mian found a blind child among a pile of ruined graves.

The child's family had been killed by bandits. On the third day after Yu Mian brought him home, he learned the child's name was Zhou Zhe.

He said there were marks from his fingers on the bandit's neck. Once his eyes healed, he would go find the bandit and take revenge. If he came back safely, he would repay Yu Mian for saving his life.

Yu Mian smiled and touched the scar on his own neck.

A few years later,

"Go ahead, Young Master. My neck is right here for you."

"...I was wrong."
