I Gave It My All to Stay in the Mortal World

Synopsis One: Sheng Xun accidentally ended up in the mortal world. To make it up to him, the Celestial Court sent a big shot to help him gather merit and return to heaven as quickly as possible. But Sheng Xun wasn't interested. "No, thanks. I'm perfectly happy living a lazy life in the mortal world." There are so many delicious things to eat and fun things to do down here. The Celestial Court doesn't even have a Little Overlord learning tablet. Sheng Xun doesn't want to accumulate merit, but merit keeps coming his way anyway. His rented home turns out to be haunted. He buys a piece of furniture and encounters an evil spirit possessing it. He tries to have his fortune told and stumbles upon a murder scene... Synopsis Two: Sheng Xun, a well-known master in the occult world, has a highly capable partner. The trouble is, the partner has a terrible temper, and anyone who tries to steal him away always ends up regretting it. In the end, only Sheng Xun can work with him. Everyone wonders how good-natured Sheng Xun must be to put up with his partner. Until one day, a bystander sees... Sheng Xun: "Thank you, Daoist Venerable. If you hadn't been here today, that evil spirit would have eaten me. You're such a kind person." His partner snorts. "I wasn't being kind! I only did it for the incense offerings!" Sheng Xun: "Yes, yes, Daoist Venerable is always so impartial. So, can we send this ghost on its way now?" His partner: "...Move aside." Sheng Xun: ":)" A domineering, proud Daoist Venerable top x a bottom who plays the pig to eat the tiger. One-on-one romance, told from the bottom's perspective. Happy ending. Sweet and satisfying. Theme: Live with courage and never waver.
