He transmigrates to ancient Earth, China, in 1958.
In 1958, you needed travel permits to go out, along with ration coupons for grain and cloth and coupons for industrial goods.
Most importantly, he was an undocumented person here... What a headache.
P.S. The shou has a special constitution and can give birth.
🥺🥺 Please follow my next book, Why Is the Little Lamb Like That? [Period Piece]
In the height of summer, July 1958.
At 309 Garden Villa, Jiefang Road, Hongxing Mining District, a handsome young man moved in. They said he had transferred his residence registration from out of town. His family background was impeccable, he had an urban household registration, and he had joined the mining district's logistics department as a purchasing clerk, earning forty-three yuan a month. He only had himself to feed, with no family to support.
The neighbors were abuzz.
"Comrade Meng Gao, you're not married yet, are you? Let Auntie introduce you to someone."
"..." Meng Gao turned her down. "Thank you, Auntie, but I already have someone."
Her childhood sweetheart, the boyfriend she'd grown up with, wasn't someone she could show off. He had to sneak over at night, climbing through her window to see her. Honestly, he was pretty useless.

Zhou Chongyuan was the notorious little troublemaker in the family compound. From childhood, he roamed the mountains and rivers, doing whatever he pleased, until he was five and a grandfather and grandson with nowhere else to go moved into the neighboring courtyard.
The grandfather had white hair, poor eyesight, and hardly any teeth left. His grandson was a silly little lamb, so dumb that the kids at nursery school tricked him every day.
Little Zhou Chongyuan was overflowing with a sense of justice. He picked up a grubby Meng Gao who had fallen down, took her home, fed her and gave her water, changed her into clean clothes, and put her in his little undershirt and red shorts.
And so, after that first time he'd taken her home, he kept her for thirteen years.
But when 1958 came around, the Zhou family fell on hard times. The whole family was sent away to a remote, desolate state farm in Chang'an County.
Zhou Chongyuan had lost all hope. For a while, he thought he would never see his childhood sweetheart, little Meng Gao, again.
He never dreamed that Meng Gao would come too.
The gong was overwhelmed and delighted. "Baby."
Meng Gao sighed, bringing her boyfriend a sack of sweet potatoes, rice, and flour. "Shut your mouth. From now on, call me Boss, got it? The Boss who makes sure you get enough to eat!"
The gong: "..."
CP: An angelic, tender little lamb x a scheming gong with a black heart and a head full of tricks.
1. This is a completely different retelling of Meng Gao and Zhou Chongyuan's story, with an entirely new setting and plot. It's basically a new story.
Theme: Nostalgia and remembering the hardships of the past
