"I'll kill you, you devil!"

The protagonist swings his sword... and gets sent flying. At some point, the pitiful young man has become a powerful being, so powerful that everyone prostrates themselves at his feet, even the heroine who once rejected him now trying to curry favor with him.

But he isn't moved in the slightest. His eyes are fixed only on Xia Yunzhi, who once helped him.

"With me here, who dares lay a hand on her?!"

Xia Yunzhi cries. The powerful man walks up to her and gently wipes away her tears. "Don't be afraid. No one will hurt you again."

Xia Yunzhi: "You're amazing, sir!"

But inside, she thinks, "Just let me die. I want to be reborn!"

It isn't until she sees the clothes mounds the powerful man has made for her after each "death," row upon row of little graves, each one mourned by him, that she understands. Dying is out of the question.

In the Demon Palace, Song Huaizui calmly faces death. For Xia Yunzhi, he is willing to die.

At the critical moment, though, someone steps in front of him. As he watches that person slowly disappear, Song Huaizui is stunned.

Those were the words she left behind before disappearing.

But he didn't listen.

1. The truth is revealed layer by layer. Since both leads have been reborn, the outward appearances of their past lives are bound to be overturned.

2. In their previous life, the male lead didn't like the female lead at all, but she loved him openly, secretly, and obsessively. Don't be fooled by her pitiful, wronged appearance in this life, either. She did plenty of bad things in her previous life, so the male lead had good reason to hate her. The author won't try to whitewash her. In this life, the female lead has realized her mistakes and wants to make amends.
