Short Story Collection

A collection of short stories and replacement works. Compared with "Jade Contract" and "Painted Immortal," these are a little more mature (but not that mature!) works written to fill in the gaps and patch up abandoned plots. I hate myself for starting so many books before I was old enough to sign a contract, ahhh.

This is a place especially for my inspiration and short stories, hehehe!

How did it all begin with a willow branch?

*

Born in troubled times, with a life as fragile as a willow.

Liu Zhi was a songstress from the northern frontier. Fortunately, a general saved her and took her into his household.

Everyone said the general had died on the northern frontier, but Liu Zhi refused to believe it and waited every day outside the gates of his residence.

She waited and waited, but in the end, she never saw the general return.

I really liked this little story when I first wrote it, and I still like its little details. It has an open ending. Actually, I've written lots of short stories, hhh.

My favorite right now is "I Arrived, Yet Spring Was Gone," especially Lan Shi's personality. I like her so much. It was originally meant to be a long story, but in the end I just couldn't write it. I started it on a whim back then. If I write more short stories in the future, I'll probably post them in this collection as a way to unwind, hhh.
