[Sweet, airheaded Moon Palace fairy vs upright young mortal]
My other book, Five Hundred Years Waiting for You, is currently serializing in the next-door column. Come check it out and add it to your favorites~_^
*
Su Yu was a sweet, airheaded fairy maiden, a native of the Moon Palace who knew nothing of the mortal world. One day, she accidentally fell to earth.
The ignorant mortals saw her as a wicked enchantress and locked her in prison. Su Yu begged the local earth god to take her away so she could return to heaven and live freely.
But then a mortal broke into the dungeon and brought her pastries, hiding in the shadows without daring to say a word.
Su Yu knew who he was, but there was no telling whether a mortal would end up a pig or a dog in the future. She certainly wouldn't fall for him.
Still, that mortal had saved her and brewed medicine and tea for her. He was the most sought-after top scholar in the land, the eldest son of the distinguished Pei family.
Even with all the splendor of the mortal world, Su Yu thought it was nothing special.
Pei Xu saved Su Yu simply to do a good deed, but then he fell hopelessly in love with her. For her, he offended a princess, endured public condemnation, and knelt through the night.
Su Yu once warned him, “Scholar Pei, don't you dare fall in love.”
As if bewitched, he replied, “You are a fairy. I'll gaze upon you for my whole life.”
A whole lifetime? Su Yu thought. Human lives were so short. She still hoped Pei Xu would be reborn as a human in his next life.
Later, Pei Xu died at the border to escape an arranged marriage. Su Yu only looked back at him once.
In the end, Pei Xu finally understood: the fairy's kindness amounted to no more than a single glance.
*
Only Su Yu knew, through the long and endless years of desolation, that she had fallen for Pei Xu once. Just once, and that was all.
Please note before reading:
1. Old-school sweet and airheaded style. (The male lead's engagement has no emotional foundation.)
2. Set in an imaginary world modeled on the Song dynasty.
3. Open ending. I won't write a happy ending afterward; the main story follows the tragic ending, and the bonus chapters will cover side characters. Please keep this in mind!
The Fuling people belong to a realm beyond the Three Realms. Every five hundred years, they lose their memories and gain eternal life.
Emperor Siwei was a charming and carefree immortal who had attained enlightenment over ten thousand years ago and ruled the southern heavens. He descended to the mortal world to undergo tribulations twice, and both times he fell to a love trial because of a little Fuling.
The little Fuling cried over him in both lifetimes and left a bright red cinnabar mark between his brows. After a thousand years, she scared Siwei so badly that he refused to undergo another tribulation.
Siwei sent a yellow oriole to the mortal world to stay by the little Fuling's side and observe what made her different, but the little Fuling ended up guarding his grave for three hundred years.
In her third life, the little Fuling fell in love with a mortal, and Siwei witnessed five hundred years of her love and grief.
In her fourth life, the little Fuling refused to love again. She wanted to find her memories, and spent five hundred years in the mortal world listening to different storytellers tell their tales.
In her fifth life, someone called Wang Wu said he could find her memories, so she and Wang Wu wandered the mortal world with a yellow oriole for five hundred years.
Siwei never thought that one day he would willingly descend into the mortal world and imprison himself for love.
Only in her third life did the little Fuling discover that she was a Fuling. By then, she had already forgotten a thousand years of memories.
*
In her fourth life, the little Fuling often dreamed. In her dreams, she heard the storyteller's faint voice.
“To my beloved Jingxin, I owe you thirty years.”
“To my dear wife, far away, may the years bring you peace.”
*
The Fuling guarded his grave for three hundred years; he gave her three days of peace in return.
Theme: Discover the true meaning of life and enjoy its beauty.
Love this story! And the ending is quite surprising to me, because usually the lovers get married or simply stay in the world without being able to go back. When Suyu said she wanted to go back, she really did go back smoothly, and there were no thrilling return home plots with twists and turns. It has a Roman Holiday flavor, but is more restrained than Roman Holiday Princess. Of course, it can also be said that Suyu is more resistant to the human world. She thinks that she is just here to watch, but not really belong to and enjoy life in the human world. After all, she is really a fairy who was born in the fairy world. She came to participate in the transformation plan with the second generation of rich people. No matter how touched she was, she always thought that she would be able to go home sooner or later. Therefore, this is an episode in Suyu's long journey to immortality, an unforgettable experience in the memory of a born fairy. This bystander mentality that never disappears throughout the story creates Suyu's inhuman feeling of "born in the fairy world and raised in the fairy world" very well. Looking forward to my wife's extra story.
Suyu and Xiao Pei have an open ending. Suyu wonders whether he is the immortal king or the human Pei Qingshi. In my opinion, he is both the immortal king and Xiao Pei. The open ending is quite good.
When the emperor listens to the wind, it is rain. This dead Taoist priest can bring down Si Zhengjian with just one sentence. When Su Yu returns to the sky, you will regret that you covered your eyes with mist.
Can Suyu return to heaven? It's all Yang Shi's fault. If he hadn't found someone to shoot Suyu with an arrow, her immortal power wouldn't have faded so quickly.
Too late! But I also wish the teacher a happy winter solstice! Happy birthday! Looking forward to the next three pairs!!!
Little angels, I opened a pit in the column "Five Hundred Years of Hou Qing" in which there will be guest appearances by Su Yu and Ban Wen! 🤩 And I like that story very much, I hope the little angels can click and collect it 😚
Thank you so much! I am very happy to see it. I like Suyu, Heying, and Yinzhu. Everyone is a good baby. I want you to be happy every day 😚
Does Yang Yue dislike Pei Qingshi just because he looks like him? She didn't want to think about it. They all forced him. Princess Shang was just like herself back then. Yang Yue said to Pei Shangjin that you don't have to marry me if you don't like me. Why is it that when you get to Pei Qingshi, you have to marry me? Sister, you have double standards! It's okay if you trap yourself. You still want others to follow your old path. If you don't want to, then Heli doesn't need to waste his life for a man. Pei Shangjin is not a thing.
Suyu has a hint of affection for Pei Qingshi. When a person trusts her unconditionally in a strange place except He Ying and Yinzhu, and there is another person who saves her and believes that she is sad because of her injury. Who can not be moved by the beauty of a fairy? It's just that his personal feelings have not been resolved well. Before the problem is solved, he hopes that he will not show his love (that is, don't break the window paper). Although Yunxiu is a black heart, he can pretend to be weak. Her evil comes from the advice of people around her, and she really believes that doing evil is right (I don't like this character a bit, but she is indeed the one who drives the plot)
Let's talk about updates. First, I can actually do 3,000 updates a day, but it feels too little, so I tried to update every other day, but I have been updating 6,000 a day for the past two days. The 6,000 updates a day seems a bit sleepy. The main reason is that I want to write more plots. The key point is: no update on the same day means no update, but one update will be more than 6,000, which is superimposed according to the number of days (if no update is made for three days, it means 10,000 updates). I don't want to leave a request for leave. Then there is the ending of this book. If there are any little angels who are reading, please pay attention to the reading guide. I have already decided the outline and ending of this book and will not change it unless there are special circumstances. In the end, this book will be finished as much as possible before August. The total word count is about 23, maybe a little higher, but not more than 270,000. (If it's not over, just assume I didn't say 🐶. I say all this so that the little angels can have a good experience. I also liked this book very much when I was writing and designing it. Thank you to the little angels for their company. Thank you to those of you who are reading this paragraph. (>^ω^<)😚
