The Domineering CEO Falls for Black Whirlwind

Li Kui is the company’s technical director. Thanks to her athletic build, tanned skin, and no-nonsense work style, people gave her the nickname “Black Whirlwind.”

The company president, Wei Jie, loves Li Kui. Her unrequited love is practically becoming an obsession.

Ever since kindergarten, when Li Kui stood up to the little brats who bullied her, Li Kui’s dashing image has been forever etched in Wei Jie’s heart.

Unfortunately, Li Kui is just too dense. She ignores every hint, whether subtle or direct. They hold hands. They share a room. They’re just close friends.

After years of making no progress in their relationship, Wei Jie decides to change her slow-and-steady approach and pursue Li Kui more aggressively.

One day, Wei Jie finds Li Kui looking worried. “Could you do me a favor?”

Li Kui says loyally, “Sure. What is it?”

Wei Jie: “Be my girlfriend, so I can focus on work.”

Li Kui asks, confused, “What does being your girlfriend have to do with work?”

Wei Jie looks like she’s about to burst into tears. “My family wants me to get married. If I tell them you’re my girlfriend, they’ll stop bothering me, and I’ll be able to focus on work.”

Li Kui says doubtfully, “All right, then. Will your family believe us?”

Wei Jie flashes a sweet smile, her plan a success. “That’s why we need to act more intimate.”

A scheming CEO plays tricks on a straightforward girl. Extra-sweet romance!
