Long-Tailed Tit

*Secret Crush Comes True / Healing / Happy Ending

Fu Li never dared to imagine that she and Jin Zhaoyu would have anything to do with each other.

A poor, withdrawn girl from a small town and a pampered prodigy adored by everyone. The best distance between them was this:

She stood in the silent wilderness, gazing up at the moon in the sky.

As for anything more, she didn't dare hope for it.

-

The tenth year of Fu Li's secret love for Jin Zhaoyu.

He had made a name for himself, becoming the youngest professor at the University of Science and Technology. When his gaze occasionally swept over her in a corner of the classroom, all that remained in his eyes was unfamiliarity.

After her disappointment, Fu Li set off alone for the Yichuan Forest Reserve.

She chose to live among the surrounding mountains, keeping long-tailed tits for company.

She came and went like the wind, free and unseen.

-

Until one ordinary afternoon, when rain fell without a break.

The damp rain soaked the window, and its mist also settled over the yellowed sheets of paper on the desk, filled with the fluttering feelings of youth.

Jin Zhaoyu walked into this remote village with an umbrella. His distant gaze met hers through the window.

After a long silence,

he spoke first, his voice cool and clear: "So you did receive that letter."

Silence fell between them.

-

"Though she was only a sensitive, timid long-tailed tit, she was still one of a kind in his heart."

"She no longer needed to gaze up at the moon, because the moon would fall into the wilderness of its own accord."

Avoidant Attachment VS Cool and Scheming

*Opens in an urban setting, with many flashbacks. The story uses the old college entrance exam system.

*Mutual devotion / One-on-one romance / Both leads are each other's first love

*Slow burn. The leads are not perfect characters.
