My next story, The Obsessive Husband Fished Out of the River, is coming up. Please add it to your collections~
------------------- Divider -------------------
The Great Wei had been in turmoil for years. Before the New Year, a powerful enemy threatened to invade from the northwest, and the troops stationed around the capital would soon be deployed.
To show the emperor's benevolence and reassure the people and the army, Emperor Taiding discussed with the court and the palace women releasing a group of palace maids aged twenty to twenty-five, to marry soldiers in the army who were still unmarried.
Unfortunately, Qi Chun was among them.
She was already twenty-four, among the older maids in this group. In the Great Wei, she was practically an old maid, and on top of that, her looks were unremarkable. She thought that rather than reluctantly marrying a crude, uncouth old soldier, she might as well return to the palace and grow old there. It wasn't as if she had any family outside the palace anyway.
So, before leaving the palace, everyone around her put great effort into their appearance. She simply cleaned herself up, making sure she didn't offend any important people, and called it a day.
Hopefully no one would want to marry her.
She counted on her fingers and watched the sky, letting the rare moment of leisure slip by, little by little...
But at the last moment, a sedan chair brought her to Song Chang'an.
Later, for her sake, that man fought his way through every obstacle and returned from the border, giving her a life she had never dared to hope for.
[Please Note]
1. This is about everyday family life, not an action-packed power fantasy full of dramatic twists and escalating conflicts.
2. The original draft was just a casual piece I didn't want to continue, so I turned it into a novel. I started writing this in mid-March, not three years ago.
[Coming Soon] The Female Marquis
[In the place of cold winds and a waning moon, my beloved awaits.]
As head of the Lu family, the foremost general of the Great Liang, and the only female marquis in the land, Lu Wensa held the northern frontier in awe for a full ten years.
Yet she never expected to fall into the hands of Zhou Jingyu.
That nameless brat from a fallen earl's family.
A beautiful, badass big sister with overwhelming fighting prowess x a wolfish young man who's sweet on the outside and scheming within
Theme: Don't blame fate or other people. Keep striving to live.
It's true that the more I watch it, the more frustrated I feel. The heroine is being bullied like this and she doesn't have a good fight back.
The first few chapters were so touching that I shed tears silently, but the later chapters were a bit rough. The concept of the article and the settings of the male and female protagonists are very good, but the characterization is insufficient, especially the male protagonist. More words should be left on the male protagonist's border career. The author keeps working hard!
Throw flowers! The daily writing of Dada is really good. I have no interest in the house fighting, so I just skipped through it (I bought all of it). Or try writing cookies? Just as usual
Ah! I love this little everyday sweetness so much!
I have read the author's "Bing Bridle" and "Support", and I like "Bing Bridle" very much. Maybe it is because I really like this kind of sassy and heroic heroine, so I have been looking forward to the heroine, and hope to publish the novel soon! Looking forward to the author, looking forward to the queen, looking forward to the excitement!
Why not separate the family? Logically speaking, you can ask for the separation.
I really like the heroine's character
"Naturally understand" is a big bug for the author~ Don't you understand?
One breath, no pause! The article is very short and well written... Thumbs up! I'm going to continue reading the author's other articles.
Nice!! The story is short but exciting
