Lord of Earth

Zong He was reborn. Before the New Era began, he had to obtain the treasure that once belonged to humanity. To pull the sword from the stone and become the final savior. Avalon opened, the Mausoleum of the First Emperor stirred to life, and Aztec ruins awoke. Atlantis emerged, the Sky City descended, and the Tower of Babel was rebuilt. The First Emperor held court in Xianyang, Valentino was crowned, and the Empress of the Far North awakened. Diviners read fortunes in yin and yang, the Poet Immortal laughed drunkenly with wine in hand, and the Crouching Dragon deployed troops with the Eight Trigrams. Humanity was cast down from its altar and plunged into the underground city of eternal night. “The savior is here! Awaken the sages of old and let them fight for humanity!” With a broken sword in hand, Zong He climbed to the throne in the sky, his golden eyes gleaming with obsessive intensity. Among the twenty-two Major Arcana, he was a radiant miracle walking among mortals. Beneath the throne lay countless bones. He held an undying imperial power, his features noble and cold. Gods and mortals alike fell under his spell, and the world sang hymns in his praise. The new king was crowned, and all fell silent. “It’s over.” He gave an arrogant, mocking laugh. “I’m the last one standing.” Please note: all references to historical figures in this novel are based on general histories.
