Daylight Burns Like Fire

"You see a rose and call it beautiful. You see a snake and call it disgusting. You don't know that in this world, roses and snakes are close companions. At night, they transform into each other: the snake's cheeks turn scarlet, and the rose's scales shimmer. You see a rabbit and call it cute. You see a lion and call it frightening. You don't know how they bleed and love each other on stormy nights." Blurb excerpt from Yukio Mishima's Madame de Sade. The complete story is available to read for free. - Theme: True love is eternal
