[Help] I think my roommate might like me

OP: ...I think my roommate maybe, possibly, kind of likes me.

So, I've been living in this place for a while now.

I had just graduated and started working. Several landlords in a row cheated me out of my rent, and by the time I was completely broke, my roommate came to my rescue.

He invited me to share a place downtown, and the rent was a few thousand yuan cheaper than other apartments in the same area.

He has a cat. He pays for the cat, and I get to pet it, play with it, and sleep beside it.

He helped me move. When he gets home late after working overtime, he always brings me a late-night snack. He also works at the same place as me and has taught me lots of little tricks about work and office life.

I've only just started working, and I don't have much experience sharing a place with someone. I just wanted to ask everyone...

Is it normal for my roommate to do all this? I keep feeling like something's off. Am I just imagining things?

1L: Huh? Is your roommate looking for another roommate?

2L: I don't want to hear it. My roommate says people like that are all fake.

3L: OP, is he your roommate or your husband? You know the answer in your heart!

CP: Childhood friends + mutual pining. Going to work is just dating!

P.S. This is a revised version of a preorder I locked two or three years ago. JJ doesn't allow preorders to be deleted, and seeing a whole row of locked preorders in my dashboard was just too painful, so I turned it into a short forum-style story. If that bothers you, feel free to remove it from your collection. I'm very sorry. (Bows deeply in apology.)
