I Don't Want the Throne

Currently updating: "The Heavenly Emperor and Her Proud Prince Consort [Ne Zha]" Blurb: Warnings first: This is a plot-driven story with a male lead and romance, but the heroine appears quite late. One-on-one pairing, both are virgins, so read with confidence. After working herself to death for her whole life, Qi Sheng transmigrated. She loves her new identity: the son of Consort Shu, ranked sixth. Above him is the third-born son of the late empress, and in fifth place is the son of the current empress. And if all else fails, there's still the eldest prince, born to Consort Hui. No matter how you look at it, the throne won't go to him. With his mother's support and encouragement, Qi Sheng plans to become a carefree, idle prince. His goal is... well, to lead the capital's young dandies and come up with more forms of entertainment. But can someone tell him why his eldest and third brothers have already taken each other out? Why is his fifth brother so mentally fragile that he dropped dead from sheer happiness? Why is his second brother willing to die rather than marry anyone but a courtesan, insisting on a lifelong, monogamous romance? And his fourth brother: he's the ambitious son of a favored consort, so could he at least have a little worldly ambition? What does he mean by becoming a monk? In the end, Qi Sheng nervously turned his gaze to his only younger brother, the ninth prince. Who could have expected the ninth prince to come out in public? Qi Sheng: ... I've got something I want to say, but I don't know if I should! There was no choice. Having sworn at birth that he would never work himself to death again, Qi Sheng was tearfully pushed into the position of crown prince, then bombarded for six straight years by a group of tutors who worried about their country and its people. Even after his father died, Qi Sheng never got to see the tenth prince born. With no will to live, he was pushed onto the throne. Several years after his accession, a palace maiden with a familiar-sounding name entered the palace, and Qi Sheng finally understood: No wonder the people in this world are so unrealistic. It's all because the plot demands it! Theme: Promote gender equality and spread positive energy in society!
