Burying the Zither

The childhood friend can't compete with the one who appears out of nowhere!

No matter how handsome and tender Liu Qingchan is, in Mo'er's eyes he can't hold a candle to that fastidious prince with all his fussy habits!

Years later, Mo'er is in prison with her head drooping, her face no longer recognizable. But Shi Yao still recognizes her as the girl who humiliated him all those years ago, just from her proud, languid eyes.

He thinks revenge is finally within reach, but who could have guessed that feelings would take root on the journey north beyond the pass...

"If you die here today, woman, I'll grind your bones to dust, mix them with clay, fire you into porcelain, then smash you into a thousand pieces! You'll be nothing but a pile of broken shards in my hands forever!"

"My fastidious prince, why not mix me into your rice? Then I can follow you in this life and every life to come..."

A female-led story, with a gradual-growth plot, an adventure feel, slowly developed mystical skills, and romance that warms up at a leisurely pace. All sorts of handsome men and beautiful women make appearances. When the great cause is accomplished, the Heavenly Consort will be wed!

A warning for sensitive readers: Although this is a historical romance, there are two male-male side couples, one angsty and one sweet. If that bothers you, please don't click.

I usually write danmei; I'll write historical romance when the mood strikes.

I've completed three modern danmei novels and have one ongoing. Feel free to check them out.

Enjoy!
