Fox Tales: The Azure Lamp

Lin Baozhu, a troublemaking jinx, survived a disaster, only to find that trouble had come looking for her while she sat in her own shop.

She took a tumble and hit her head. Then a strange, handsome man she'd never met (?) showed up to collect a debt.

"Your life? I came for your soul! From now until eternity, there will be no more Fanti Zhu in the Three Realms!"

A fox once teased Fanti Zhu for all the awful things she'd done in her past life. Baozhu thought perhaps she really had committed grave sins.

But she didn't want to die!

This is based on Shui Xinsha's Ba Zhu series, which I read in a magazine back in high school and loved dearly. I wrote this story for fun in the summer of 2014, and have now tidied it up and posted it here, if only to bring myself some closure.
