[Romance] A Complicated Mix That Keeps You Coming Back
Books I've reread two or three times. I read both fan works and original stories, and enjoy nonhuman characters, steamy romance, dark and obsessive love, harem endings, and absurd humor. Includes a few older pure-love stories and enemies-to-lovers plots.
BG: Crossover, Western Fandoms, Harry Potter, Superheroes, and Twilight
Superheroes / Harry Potter / Twilight / Greek mythology / Titanic / X-Men / Sherlock Holmes / Baldur's Gate
Under-the-Radar Stories
All kinds of obscure stories, obscure fanfiction, and obscure premises. Some fandoms and premises are practically royalty by now.
Western Historical Romance, My Love!
Western-style romance: an obscure genre full of absolute gods! There are so many amazing writers in this niche.
American and British Derivative Fanfiction, Ongoing
Includes DC, Marvel, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Twilight, classic Western literature, and more. I prefer BG and no-CP stories. The lack of five-star ratings is because JJ won’t let me give them. Most of these are free.
Great Fanfiction, June 2026
A personal list, mostly 1v1 romance, with a few no-CP stories. I don't like love interests competing for a spot. I haven't read many of the original works, so I can't tell if the characters are out of character.
Vampire and Magic Fiction
Mostly Twilight fan fiction (romance-focused) + Harry Potter fan fiction (both romance and BL)
Great Fanfic Picks: Crossover Anime, Dramas, and Classics
I read a lot of these ages ago, some not even on this account. I made this list to keep track of stories I think are worth rereading. I might get details wrong, so feel free to correct me. Recommendations welcome too.
Western Romance
Western spin-off stories
Food for Later
Working my way through these slowly.
Books Under Review 2
Made this to free up space in my favorites. List 1 was full, so I moved some books over to this new list, number 2. I'll keep updating it, and books may be moved to my bookshelf or added here.
Some Weird Kinks
A mixed bag of nonhuman romances, both straight and BL. Any story where one half of the couple isn’t human goes here... vampires, mermaids, snakes, and so on.
Great Writing and In-Character Portrayals
Western fandom spin-offs and rarepair fics! Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, House of the Dragon, Twilight, DC, Marvel, plus some lesser-known ones based on films and shows like The Borgias and The Godfather.
The Crown Jewels of This Site: Derivative Fanfiction (Work in Progress)
Evergreen favorites, every one reread. Harry Potter / Naruto / Detective Conan / Touken Ranbu / British and American media crossovers / wuxia crossovers / classic literature / Hollywood. Danmei, romance, and no-CP stories.
[Fanfiction Romance] Western History, Fairy Tales, and Mythology
Western court history, political intrigue, and historical figures; romance-focused and career-focused stories; fairy-tale adaptations and Greek mythology, too (Please support the official version). Check my profile for Western classics
Fanfiction
Some pretty good fanfiction. No CP, BL, and BG
Top-Tier Picks
Books worth rereading three or four times. This is for record-keeping and includes crossovers from Jujutsu Kaisen, Bungo Stray Dogs, Detective Conan, the Batfamily in the DC universe, Harry Potter, and some original works, among many others. Every one of them gets five stars.
Dark, Obsessive Male Leads
Unusual tastes: I read both BL and BG. I love gloomy men, all kinds of bitter, resentful types, ghostly men, and elegant, domineering tops. Ahem, like Naraku and the Clam. Not the perverted kind.
Fanworks (Other)
The protagonists aren't from Marvel or DC. Fandoms include The King's Avatar, showbiz, Mo Dao Zu Shi, Twilight, Dream of the Red Chamber, and more.
Weird Tales, Lovecraftian Horror, Nonhumans, Infinite-Flow, Folklore, and More
A few weird things I like.
My Favorite BG Stories and No-Romance Stories
I’ve bought the full version and finished reading these, and I can confidently say they’re excellent. There’s a mix of fanfiction and original stories, mostly fanfiction, with a few free ones. They’re pretty niche, but an absolute delight to read.
Western Fantasy 1
1
Excellent Fanfiction
Lots of excellent fanfiction series, including anime, TV series, and novels.

It's so funny. Compared with Caius in the ending of the previous version, there is such a huge difference. Is this the consequence of living as a widower for five hundred years?
Hahahahaha, I'm underage. Are you sorry? Hahahaha.
I must have watched it for the third time! Really like this story! Rather than saying it is fan fiction, it has become an independent world written by the author. The Tiber River, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Florence... The Italy described by the author is really full of romantic and free temperament. Thank you for being able to follow the characters in the book on such a free and fantastic journey.
I don't know why when the male protagonist said, "Father and mother, how are you?" What came to my mind was "Happy New Year to my brother and sister-in-law"…
If you think about it carefully, all three Volturi are Greeks.
All I can say is that this book is so cool! ! ! It's really rare to see a heroine with this type of personality, and Caius is also very interesting! ! !
When I first read it, there were all kinds of foreign names and mythical and historical stories, which made me want to give up writing. (The author has something to say) There are all kinds of interesting little complaints in it, which made me think that such an interesting story written in large letters should not be so boring, so I kept reading. As a result, the story of Joya and Caius fascinated me more and more. It was like drinking coffee, and I was taken into a circle of ancient Rome five hundred years ago by the big words. Thank you for bringing us such a great story! ! !
Good to watch, good to watch, good to watch~ The heroines of the Caius fanfics I watched before were all his singers. Although I was attracted by the setting of this kind of destined person, I still think about it: Is this kind of romance or horror... Fortunately, I saw this article~ Emotions are not limited by the so-called destiny. The attraction that breaks through blood and the love brought through actions and thoughts are true love!
Ahhhhhhhhh it's over 555! ! ! Joya and Keynes may live happily! ! ! Love this article so much!
Oh, that's it, Joya's postcard first reached the hands of Arrow, who has been monitoring everything. He understands Chinese, so he also inferred Joya's identity from between the lines. No wonder Caius said before when he was confused, "What if she is really back?"
