They all ask, "Do you regret it?"
She gazes up at the sky and smiles faintly, but doesn't answer. Time has long since proved everything.
There's nothing to regret. Things were always meant to be this way, and she has never resisted what should be.
If she had another chance, she would make the same choice. She has always been clear about her purpose.
Even if she were given countless chances to start over, she would still say:
"If what you say is true, then I agree."
Don't take the blurb above seriously. Don't take it seriously. Whatever you do, don't take it seriously.
I'm the System, Yang. I have a Host named Huo. I should be sitting back comfortably, waiting for my Host to work hard and bring me points, but now I spend every day worrying about my Host's gender.
"Huo, having a male body is really inconvenient. Huo is a girl, so a male body is somewhat inappropriate and could interfere with completing missions."
Yang tries hard to persuade her, while seething inside.
How is a guy supposed to win over characters in the story?
How is he supposed to fall in love?
How is he supposed to build a harem?
How is he supposed to have sex?
Ahem, ignore that last one. Ignore it. Does it want Huo to get with a guy?!
No, no, no. How could it think that? Yang grimaces and drives its wild thoughts out of its mind. It must have a virus. It definitely does.
"There's nothing wrong with being a guy. It's convenient," Huo says after a moment, calmly ignoring Yang's ulterior motives.
Conquering girls sounds like a hassle. Being a guy is better. In a world where men outnumber women, she can do whatever she likes.
At least there shouldn't be many gay people, right? Who would pass up a gentle, thoughtful, sweet, adorable girl to fall for some rough guy?
What kind of lunatic would do that?
After all, she really likes soft, cuddly girls.
"Then can you at least raise every character's affection to the friend level?" Yang gives up and reluctantly backs down, making a new request.
"Sure."
Then the affection spirals out of control, rising all the way to some unknowable level.
