How to Become a Saint Remembered for Eternity

After Yin Taichu died, he struggled for a long time and eventually became an unparalleled vengeful ghost.

But the very next moment, he was told that being a vengeful ghost wasn't so easy these days. First, he had to become a saintly benefactor, the kind whose good name would be remembered through the ages.

Yin Taichu, who had just wiped the blood off himself: ???

To keep doing as he pleased as a ghost later on, Yin Taichu had no choice but to begin his campaign of saintliness.

Fortunately, the powers above were worried he'd mess things up, so they planned to assign an immortal to help him.

But the reputation of an unparalleled vengeful ghost preceded him, and no immortal dared take the job.

Only Tang Guan did.

Five hundred years later, Tang Guan saw Yin Taichu again.

Tang Guan told Yin Taichu that he'd done quite well with the powers above over the years, and that no matter what trouble he caused, Tang Guan would take care of it.

Of course Yin Taichu trusted his closest friend from when he was alive.

And so, the mortal world gained a noble young gentleman, fair as snow and jade, carrying an umbrella and a sword, and full of old-fashioned kindness.

From then on, wherever there was oppression, wherever there was wickedness, there was Yin Taichu!

Being bullied?

A small matter. Just spread the word that you've been chosen by this ghost as a vessel for possession, and see who dares bully you then.

A demon wreaking havoc?

No problem. I have connections in Heaven and on Earth. I'll ask around and see who's free to come collect its soul. Strike first, get the upper hand. Where everyone's dead, a demon has no audience anyway.

After a while, the mortal world was peaceful and harmonious.

Yin Taichu patted Tang Guan on the shoulder with satisfaction.

See? Isn't he a saintly benefactor?

Question: How do you stop an unparalleled vengeful ghost from doing evil and make him devote himself to the path of goodness?

Answer: I'll do the evil for him. I'll be evil on his behalf. If he becomes a saint, I'll stay by his side. If he becomes a ghost, I'll stay by his side too.
