Blooming in Spring

Alcohol gives the timid courage. At a reunion one year after graduation, riding the buzz, Qi Hui threw caution to the wind and spent a night of passion with her longtime crush, Wen Xichuan.

Once sober, she fled in a panic.

To her surprise, the very next moment she found herself staring awkwardly across a restaurant table at the man her mother had set her up with.

Qi Hui fell silent, flustered, guilty, and shocked... turning into a quail who could only babble.

Wen Xichuan's hawk-like gaze fixed firmly on the woman in front of him, who was hunched over in a pink, ladylike dress. Her brazen words from the day before rang in his mind.

"If Wen Xichuan shows up here, I'll rip off his glasses and strip off that suit he always buttons starting with the top button. Why pretend to be such a gentleman? A good figure deserves to be shown off. And I'll... I'll make him..."

After listening in from the other side of the wall for quite a while, he was very curious about what came next. "What are you going to make Wen Xichuan do?"

"Make Wen Xichuan kneel down and call me Master Hui."

Remembering this, the eyes behind Wen Xichuan's gold-rimmed glasses, bright with romantic charm, turned inscrutable and cool.

At the time, he had no idea that on every night in the future when Qi Hui ordered him to sleep in the study, he would happily act out this very scene...

Qi Hui had never imagined that one day Wen Xichuan would fulfill, one by one, all the longings she had once been unable to attain.
