Throne Conquest Notes

If you don’t ascend the throne, you die.

So, team up with your loyal knights, fight monsters, level up, take down the final boss, and claim the throne to fulfill your destiny, young man!

To break the curse that will kill him before adulthood, Gallan has to return to a past life from long, long ago, when he was supposedly the chosen one. He must defeat Heimos, the final boss who defied fate in that life, killed him, and seized the throne, then fulfill his destiny by ascending the throne himself.

He decides to give it a try, since he has a golden finger that lets him restart five times.

And then...

The chosen one, who could reload his save five times, gets killed by his nemesis four times.

Gallan: “...” Wait, weren’t I supposed to be the chosen one?

Fine, fine, I won’t take the throne. You’re tougher, you go for it. You’re better-looking, you be king!

With only one life left, Gallan takes stock and decides to give up on winning the throne, stay away from Heimos, and live as a free little elf.

And then... he ends up on the throne, becoming a wise and worthy king revered by all.

Gallan: “???” He’s completely bewildered.

The one who defied fate: “It’s so frustrating to be rejected every time I confess.”

The chosen one: “It’s exhausting to be confessed to by the person who killed me, every time in the same place where I died last time, the time before that, and the time before that.”
