Long Live the Crown Prince

An update every other day, six thousand words each time, scheduled for noon, 18:00. That's the pace for now. Please forgive me (sob). This is a tooth-achingly sweet, old-fashioned story about a crown prince who raises a cat, cuddles a cat, torments a cat, and eventually marries a cat. Lin Huan: You're the cat! Your whole family is cats! ...Oh, someone's all riled up. CP: A crown prince seme who neglects his duties to focus on raising a cat x a devoted, infatuated, won't-take-no-for-an-answer, gorgeous meow (gets kicked away) [Reader's guide: Serious interstellar political intrigue, slow burn, older seme, loyal dog-like uke, guaranteed happy ending. (That's the gist.)] Cute little bonus scene: Many, many years later, the crown prince finally has a pang of conscience and takes out his treasured possession, hoping to put it back on him. Right in front of him, Lin Huan crushes the thing to pieces. Then he calmly wipes his hands and asks the crown prince, "What exactly are you planning to do? Got bored and want to throw it away, is that it?" The crown prince says nothing, watching helplessly as the treasure he's kept for decades goes into the recycling unit along with the other man's handkerchief. A cold hand slips around his neck. Lin Huan smiles as he leans in and plants a kiss on his cheek. "Hubby, I love you the most." The crown prince's heart gives a startled jolt... What should he do? His wife switches moods in a flash. He's a little scared.
