An NPC Visits a Period Novel

In the interstellar age, an NPC in a martial arts game advertised as 99% realistic rebelled against the Mainframe after growing fed up with the tragic, idiotic role it had assigned her. The System ultimately erased her, but she took her storage space with her and transmigrated into the body of a cannon-fodder supporting female character in a period novel.

The NPC was furious. They expected her either to go mad over a man whose face she'd never even seen, or to help someone else find love, while coughing up money to boot. Who do you think you're pushing around? I dared to defy the Mainframe. You think some little System can boss me around? So she tore the System apart without hesitation and lived a carefree life of her own. As for that damn plot, whoever wants to follow it can go ahead. What does it have to do with me?

One thing before we start: here's a heads-up. This is a sweet romance with practically no awful relatives.

The male lead likes to overthink things and comfort himself. He's talkative and shameless, but treats the heroine wonderfully, would give up everything for her, and stands by her without a shred of principle.

In this book, the heroine is a game character who has gained sentience. After she transmigrates, she has everything except emotional experience. So the male lead doesn't need to be some domineering, dragon-like hero, nor can he be a cold, controlling CEO. My male lead is a bit of a smiling schemer around others, but he's loyal to his friends. He's not a gentleman toward other women, but in front of the heroine, he's the best man in the world.

In my opinion, a character like Tong Piaoyun is desperately short on love. She needs a man who loves her with all his heart. A shameless but sincere man is the only kind who could get through to her. At the same time, he can't have awful parents holding them back, or Tong Piaoyun's personality would make her leave them far behind right away.

Theme: A strong country and prosperous people, with peace and well-being for all.
