Keeping Shennong Company as He Tastes Every Herb

This story is on hiatus. I stopped updating too often before, and now I just can't pick it back up. Let me take a breather, and I'll update it again later. Starting today, I'm going to write a Dream of the Red Chamber story to recharge. Don't be mad, everyone~ Guangu did his best to stay alive in the apocalypse. Just as the apocalypse was ending and humanity's victory was finally in sight, the good life seemed to be waving him over. Guangu counted the mountain of crystal cores he'd saved in his pocket dimension and dreamed of traveling the world, finding a baby along the way, and living happily ever after. But perhaps he'd killed too many zombies and brought it on himself. Even now, when zombies had all but disappeared, he was lucky enough to be hunted down by the Zombie Emperor and his massive army of underlings! Guangu drove his RV as fast as he could. As he watched the energy in his crystal cores run out, he thought that the moment he stopped to change the core would probably be the moment he died. He sighed and comforted himself: If it's meant to be, it'll be; if it's not, don't force it. The heavens must have it in for him, refusing to let him enjoy a good life no matter what! Just as he was about to accept his fate, a thick fog appeared ahead. He drove straight into it with a bitter smile. Heaven, the zombies aren't affected by poor visibility, but I am! Then he realized: Heaven was looking out for him, unable to bear letting him watch himself get eaten. But the engine had been off for ages. Why hadn't the zombie squad caught up yet? He cautiously opened his eyes and was stunned to find himself in a peaceful world full of birdsong and flowers. Not far away, a little child was staring at him with wide eyes!!! The Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors in this story are chosen respectively from the Records of the Grand Historian: Suiren, Fuxi, and Shennong for the Three Sovereigns; and from the Da Dai Liji: Huangdi, Zhuanxu, Diku, Yao, and Shun for the Five Emperors. Theme: Children deserve to be spoiled, and wives even more so. Anyone who wants to lay a hand on them will have to get past me first!
