[Harry Potter] Voldemort, the Model Boy

I am Tom Marvolo Riddle, a fifth-year student in Slytherin House at Hogwarts and the current prefect. Ever since I was four, when a pendant spirit calling itself "Merlin's messenger" latched onto me, my life has changed beyond recognition. The process is too painful to look back on. The result is that I went from someone with terminal chuunibyou syndrome to an emotionless helping machine. I get top marks in every subject and enjoy helping others. The entire student body and faculty approve of me, including the Transfiguration professor, who had an odd prejudice against me at first. Before I knew it, people had started calling me "a well-rounded good kid." #StartingOverInTheMagicalWorld# #AWellRoundedTeenagerDoesNotDreamOfHisPendantSpiritGuardian# #FiveMerlinMessengers# Attention: 1. In this story's alternate setting, Merlin lived around the 5th century, based on the Celtic mythology from which the character originated. The official setting places him around the 11th century. He graduated from Slytherin House. 2. Third-person narration, no central pairing. There are also GL, BL, and BG storylines involving original characters. Aside from explicitly paired original characters, please don't post comments about non-canon BL or GL pairings from the original work. 3. The story begins when the protagonist is four. Since his personality develops very differently from the original character's from an early age, he has absolutely nothing in common with Voldemort from the original work. If you're here for the original Voldemort, please read with caution! 4. There are a great many original settings and alternate interpretations, a great many. Anything that differs from the original work or historical facts will be noted in the author's comments. 5. The Mother-Daughter story: the first entry in the same series on my profile. 6. It does not take place in the same world as the Mother-Daughter story. 7. Updates are whenever I can manage, but I will finish it. Theme: Loving and being loved
