[Crossover] The Utterly Ordinary Kuroba-kun

Updated whenever fate allows! Updated whenever fate allows! Updated whenever fate allows! Important things must be said three times! Blurb: My name is Kurohane Naru, an utterly ordinary first-year middle school student. Born at the end of the year, I'll turn fourteen after my birthday this year. Until recently, I thought I was nothing but ordinary. But lately, I've realized I'm also incredibly unlucky. For some reason, when I play Onmyoji, the only Shikigami I can ever pull are King of the Salted Fish, aside from the two you get at the start. After my guardian kicked me out, I was sent to Namimori, a remote town in Tokyo. Thanks to a Mafia boss's training program, I'm always living in dire straits. And a friend who's far away told me in our last letter that he seems to be planning something big. (Here's hoping the next time I see him, it won't be in prison.) I could put up with all that, but what finally made me feel a long-forgotten anger was a sad, despairing piece of news: Yokohama is in chaos, its public order in tatters because of a mercenary group that illegally entered the country from overseas and is running rampant. Could the great upheaval from two years ago be about to happen all over again?! If the social environment index remains in the red, the event originally planned for early August next year, "Pikachu Outbreak!", might be postponed indefinitely. Me: No! Nobody can stop me from going to Yokohama to see Pikachu!! Not even a battle between ability-user organizations!!! Spoiler warnings: 1. Don't be fooled by the blurb: this is written in third person! The protagonist is the bottom in a 1v1 pairing. The top will be one of the first two characters in the supporting-character list. Number 27 seems a little more likely, but nothing is certain yet, so feel free to pick your favorite as the story unfolds. 2. There are many major original characters. The "boss" mentioned in the one-line introduction belongs to an original organization. 3. A crossover featuring a useless boss saving the world, the little stray dog, and me being totally bewildered under the Arakawa Bridge. The little stray dog is from the Beast timeline. The specific timing of events has been adjusted. 4. The protagonist is just an ordinary person from Earth. He doesn't have any superpowers that would clash with the original work, so don't read too much into it. 5. The protagonist's surname is Kurohane. Kurohane is written as "kurohane" in pinyin. Take "kuroha" from the beginning and reverse it to get "haroku," which sounds like "Ha Liu," approximately 86. So the protagonist's code name is 68. 6. Kyugen Kokyu's code name is 39, and Mio Domeki's is 200 (assuming "hyakume" means "one hundred pairs of eyes"). 7. Long story, updated whenever fate allows. Updates are posted at 18:00. Theme: After stepping out of the box, the world outside is still a birdcage.
