After Ascending, I Returned to the Modern World and Found Everyone Cultivating

Jiang Du has returned from the cultivation world. One moment, he was looking down at the heavenly tribulation with the cultivation of a Tribulation Transcendence expert. The next, a bolt of heavenly lightning struck him back into modern society, supposedly an era without spiritual cultivation. Looking at the familiar yet strange rush of traffic before him, Du Zhen Jian Jun, once a great Tribulation Transcendence expert and now the impoverished college student Jiang Du: "???...!!!" What the hell is that blood-soaked ghost staggering around in the middle of the road? It's looking this way too! In this era without spiritual cultivation, the modern cultivation world had long since become little more than a name. Then, one day, spiritual qi revived. But in Huaguo, where the population had exploded, the first strange beings born from this wave of spiritual qi weren't cultivators, but countless ghosts and monsters. Fortunately, at this time, Du Jiang, the last person to ascend before spiritual qi ran dry, and a descendant of Du Zhen Jian Jun from who-knows-which generation, suddenly appeared! He suppressed the first wave of ghosts and monsters. (Jiang Du: Why is this ghost chasing me?) He trained the first generation of cultivators. (Jiang Du: Why are my roommate, my thesis advisor, and the old dorm supervisor all cultivators?) He founded the Cultivators' Association to fight the ghosts and monsters together. (Jiang Du: Isn't that just a school club?) Everyone was deeply moved and prepared to help Jiang Du and the former-life lover he'd found get married. Jiang Du: I have to set the record straight! I didn't have a partner in my previous life! Then one day, Jiang Du suddenly realized that this spiritual qi revival sweeping across all of Huaguo and even the entire world might have been brought about by him. And his supposed former-life lover, who was actually his current boyfriend, Ying Shengqing, was the incarnation of the Heavenly Dao, descended to stop this spiritual qi revival.
