The Absolute Winner [Infinite]

Lu Ying opened his eyes, leisurely preparing to welcome the 365th day of his retirement. [ Ding! Congratulations, Player Lu Ying, you have entered an instance. ] Listening to the System voice by his ear, Lu Ying looked at his instance teammates, whose expressions ranged from one extreme to another. "...What?" Does your game force retired employees back into service? After the game known as "The Gods' Game" descended upon the world, people were forced to fight for the right to survive in its instances. In the end, a player known by the codename "Winner" brought the entire game to a close. No one knew his real name. They only knew that he had incredible luck, and that no matter how difficult an instance was, he could always find the right path. But after winning the game, that player quietly disappeared, and no one ever learned what became of him. A year after the game ended, "The Gods' Game" began again. This time, people would compete for the right to become gods. As everyone fought madly for the one and only spot, they also waited for "Winner" to appear. But not one of the players had extraordinary luck. Instead, there was a newcomer who seemed to be plagued by bad luck. The newcomer named Lu Ying encountered the most terrifying monsters and the most desperate situations in every instance. Everyone who knew him thought he would soon die in an instance, but he survived one after another and made it all the way to the end. When others asked him about it, Lu Ying only smiled without saying a word, glancing at the status screen visible to him alone. [ Curse of Godslaying: Because you killed a revered god, all the gods have laid a curse upon you. From now on, misfortune will cling to you forever. Favor of Fate: You are cherished by the God of Fate. Beneath Their gaze, no matter what circumstances you face, you will be the final winner. Even if your hands are stained with Their divine blood. ] I bought a cover that seemed perfect for an infinite-flow story, so I put up another infinite-flow novel for advance collection. I haven't settled on the exact premise yet, but going by my usual style, the instances will probably include supernatural horror elements. Theme: So-called fate is nothing but a lie
