[Detective Conan] Love in the Dark

[Ending One is complete. The earlier chapters are being heavily revised to move away from the spy-thriller style. If you don't like that, feel free to skip ahead to the middle.] Shuichi Akai feels like his career undercover in the Organization has amounted to being the editor of a gossip column in the entertainment section. For example: Maraschino was brought back to the Organization's base by Gin, covered in blood. After being undercover for so long, Akai realized he didn't know Maraschino's real name or Gin's real name, but he knew every bit of gossip about them by heart. And then, in a moment of carelessness, he got involved with a temptress. Akai used to think only of protecting his family, investigating his father's death, wiping out the Organization in one fell swoop, and giving his all to the FBI. Ever since he met Suze, he's been testing the limits of betrayal every day. Scene One: "Want to see who's faster?" Suze smiled radiantly, a sharp dagger pressed against Akai's neck. A little pressure would be enough to pierce it and stop his breathing. "A man shouldn't finish too quickly." Without changing expression, Akai gripped Suze's wrist and held her still. Suze: Does the FBI know you're this much of a sleaze when they recruit you? Scene Two: After years of walking the knife's edge, Maraschino had shed countless drops of blood. Her icy, murderous aura was enough to make even the most terrifying brutes afraid to face her. Then one day, after a whole night of passion, Gin looked down at her arrogantly, his silver hair flying as a sneer curled across his face. "Your stamina is terrible." Maraschino really wanted to grab the gun beside her and send him to meet God. Who needs stamina for that? A love divided by conflicting lies, and layers upon layers of conspiracies in a world without sunlight. Only when the unbearable weight of life came crashing down did they understand that love immersed in darkness could never wait for night to give way to dawn. [Dual female leads, Gin/Akai dual BG pairings, strong female and male leads] Reader's guide: - This story has a mountain of original headcanons, dual female leads, two BG pairings, strong female leads, and one-on-one romances. - Shuichi Akai x Suze (main pairing) - Gin x Maraschino (side pairing, with a separate extra planned to tell the story from before the main timeline) - Both female leads are thoroughly dark. They're on the Organization's side, not undercover agents or traitors. They aren't good girls with a dark side; they're dark through and through. They're neither saintly nor naive. - Everything about RUM's identity and beyond is original headcanon. A long-running Crossover featuring an all-villain cast from Detective Conan. Theme: Darkness cannot defeat the light.
