Lin Ye is the last phoenix alive in the world. His race has dwindled until only he remains. He's been single since birth for a thousand years, unable to find a mate or raise any little ones, and utterly alone.
One day, he digs up a huge egg in a ravine. It's an egg that can hatch a baby!
Longing for a little one, he excitedly drags the egg back to his nest in a parasol tree and carefully settles down to incubate it.
Just as the shell is about to crack and the little one is about to be born, just as he's about to become a father, Lin Ye hasn't even had time to celebrate when the egg suddenly disappears.
Lin Ye is on the verge of tears. "Who stole my egg?!"
He does a divination and discovers that the egg has gone to the human world. So he packs his things and sets off after it.
As he goes, he asks everyone he meets, "Have you seen my egg? It's a really big one!"
Mo Xuan, an ancient dragon, was injured and forced to return to his dragon egg to recuperate for a while. When he wakes, he discovers that his egg has been moved to a shabby bird's nest.
He flies into a rage. Who would dare touch him?
As a dragon who has lived from ancient times to the present, he absolutely cannot let this go. Once he finds the culprit, he'll chop off their claws.
One day, he meets a little fool who's been searching everywhere for a phoenix egg.
The little fool may be a bit foolish, but he's so cute. The ancient, single dragon falls for him and wants to take him home and cuddle him.
Little phoenix Lin Ye: QAQ A powerful monster! I'm a little scared and want to run, but... he smells like my baby!
To find his little one, Lin Ye decides to secretly get close to the monster.
Ye Moxuan grins. "This little fool sure is forward!"
It takes Lin Ye a long time to realize that the monster is his little one!
But his little one doesn't want to acknowledge him and even wants to sleep with him!
What is he supposed to do?!
An ancient dragon top who flies into a rage at the slightest provocation vs. a chatty, adorable little phoenix bottom
[Coming soon: The Little Taotie Was Mistaken for a Kitten and Raised by a CEO]
The little Taotie, Nai Xi, takes a lazy nap. When he wakes up, he finds the world outside has completely changed.
The spiritual energy on the mountain is gone, and so is the yin energy. He feeds on spiritual energy and yin energy, and his stomach is rumbling with hunger.
Unable to fill his belly and so hungry that his vision blurs, he has no choice but to go down the mountain in search of food.
At the foot of the mountain, he encounters a human surrounded by black yin energy.
Wow, food!
The little Taotie's eyes light up. He pounces and gobbles down the yin energy, finally having a filling meal, only to be grabbed by the scruff by the human.
He Wenheng: "This little kitten is fierce but adorable. It must have just been weaned. Since we're fated to meet, come home with me."
He takes the little Taotie home and feeds him cat food, goat's milk, cat treats, and hairball paste. He gets him a cat tree, catnip, a scratching board, a teaser wand, and a cat villa, but his "kitten" doesn't like any of it.
He Wenheng gets anxious, worried something might be wrong with his cat, and asks cat owners everywhere for advice.
The little Taotie sleeps beside the CEO every day and feeds on the yin energy around him. His belly full, he is perfectly content.
But he notices that the CEO takes him to all sorts of places to meet all sorts of people every day, as if he plans to give him away.
The little Taotie panics: QAQ! I'm hungry! Don't give me away!
Afraid the CEO will abandon him and leave him hungry again, he decides to do his best to pretend he's a cat. Then, in a moment of excitement, he eats everything in sight.
He Wenheng is shocked to discover that the cat food and bowl have disappeared, along with the cat tree and scratching board. Even the cat villa has mysteriously vanished, and priceless paintings, porcelain, and antiques haven't escaped either.
He checks the security footage and discovers that his little kitten ate all of it.
Even more shocking, one morning his little kitten turns into a fair-skinned, tender-looking young boy, and a particularly voracious one at that!
Nai Xi: "Hungry, food! Don't kick me out."
He Wenheng: "..."
What should he do?
What else can he do? Keep him, of course!
