[Saint Seiya] Alice of the Lotus Kingdom

A girl imprisoned in a tower, doomed to live forever... The one who opened the door that had been shut for so many years was a gentle young man whose eyes were always half-closed. A false promise wrapped in a sugary coating fell like sunlight from the clouds, illuminating the girl's entire world. “...My wish? If, if it's really possible, I want to... see this world!” “Then come with me. Instead of this tower that imprisoned you, I will protect you.” That tranquil, untroubled smile, like a white lotus blooming in a Buddhist temple, was her first faith, and also... the calamity of her life. Her pure soul stirred the one verdant Tree of Life in the underworld. When the truth tore away the disguise of the illusion and was laid bare before her in the cruelest way, her newly budding love was mocked by fate, which carved one bloody wound after another into her heart, leaving her in unbearable pain... A hazy holy light flickered across the sacred altar. The innocent Alice smiled sweetly and fell asleep in the land of lotus blossoms... [Reader Advisory] This is the second story in the Alice series, set in the Land of Lotus Blossoms. It is an Asmita/Original Female Character romance, a long-form love story. The entire Alice series is a Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas fanfiction series. Each story is themed around a flower. The main stories are set during the Holy War, generally do not follow the original plot, and do not alter the original story. They all have BE endings, with reincarnation side stories set in the 21st century added at the end to complete the story and provide a happy ending with plenty of sweetness. If this bothers you, please leave of your own accord. Thank you for understanding. Older story in the same series (ongoing): [Saint Seiya] Alice in the Land of Roses
