A Glimmer

--"Why does everyone have to fight? Why do they keep charging into battle even after they're wounded and fallen?" --"Because the darkness in this universe hasn't been destroyed yet, and everyone has something they want to protect behind them." --"Destroy... the darkness? And... protect...?" --"One day, you'll understand too: the meaning of battle, and the feelings behind wanting to protect something." The greater your power, the heavier your responsibilities. Nothing is simply a given; in this world, everything comes at an equal price. The Land of Light's little princess in every sense of the word: Is her innate "Light's Protection" a blessing or a curse...? And will she, having followed her childhood friend and companion to that beautiful blue planet, find the answer to her original question...? --"How could a little girl with no fighting ability earn the support of the people of the Land of Light? Mebius, do you really think there's no reason for it?" --"Yuriana!!!" A faint glimmer of light stings a budding heart. A young warrior holds fast to a solemn promise and sets out on a mission that cannot fail. There are no limits to how far you can go. As long as you keep moving forward, one day you can reach even the farthest place. And at the end of that light... "...Mebius, I'm here." No light is too small to kindle the spark of hope. As long as there's light in your heart, you won't lose the sun! A spark becomes a prairie fire. [Helpful Note] I once thought I'd never write Ultraman fanfiction again, but I couldn't resist... Overall, it's sweet and doting, full of positive energy, with just a little angst for flavor. But yes, this is still a Mary Sue story, so please steer clear if that's not your thing.
