Kuroko's Basketball: Seijuro's House

Four horses made quite a spectacle, and the clatter of their hooves sounded like thunder to anyone who cared to listen. Akashi was riding at the front. Watching him from behind, Kuroko was overcome by an illusion. It was as if Akashi were fighting for his country, and the people behind him were all those he wanted to protect. The illusion broke at the sound of a horse's whinny. Kuroko thought to himself: This house would never become a cage that trapped their captain. Yes, he had always known. When he had first arrived here, he saw the dark look in Akashi's eyes as he watched the steward leave after Akashi had misspoken, and understood that Akashi was more complicated than he seemed. Now, seeing Akashi's back, he could not doubt anything: not Akashi's identity, nor how much Akashi cherished them, nor how tolerant Akashi was of him. Because Akashi's back was so full of determination. The other four also noticed the light in Kuroko's eyes as he watched Akashi. Many people lost themselves in that vast sea of stars at that moment, but not Akashi. He was facing away from Kuroko. That was why, later on, Kuroko would so irrationally reveal those unfamiliar eyes. [From the original author, Huanyin Qimeng:] Don't make fun of the title. It's just a title. Actually, I came up with this idea during Labor Day. Then I happened to see the writing contest. That's right, the theme was [Labor Is Most Glorious]. It's about the Generation of Miracles being invited to clean Captain Akashi's house. Original author's Baidu ID: Huanyin Qimeng. Please note: I'm only reposting this story. I already have permission; see the original post here. Setting: Teiko era, slight Akashi/Kuroko, with all characters in love with Kuroko. This story was entered in the May writing contest at the All Kuroko forum. I'll do my best to copy it faithfully (hey!), and I hope those who've read it and those who haven't will all show their support. As usual, I won't change the original author's setup, and I won't fix any bugs (though there aren't many). I'm only sharing the story with everyone [smile].
