Bat Manor: The Opening Volume, A Tale of the Capital

Bat King, Bu Suanzi, Nightwing, Vermilion Crown, Red Sparrow, Falcon Lady, Black Jade Bird: these strange names belong to the retainers of the famous Bat Manor. No one in the martial world has ever seen the manor's soaring eaves and tiered towers, and almost no one knows the retainers' real names. But most people believe that no evil deed can escape the Bat Manor's justice. This was meant to be a story about a league of brilliant detectives fighting evil in the magnificent age of the Tang Dynasty. Unfortunately, at the beginning of the story, the Bat King's son, ten-year-old brat Dugu Xun, who has never even met his father and has proclaimed himself the next lord of Bat Manor, arrives in Chang'an full of ambition. (struck through) And then the story turns into a cheesy family drama about a boy growing up and a family reunion. (struck through) For friends unfamiliar with the DCU: no worries, just read this as an original wuxia detective story. You absolutely don't need to know anything about the source material. For friends familiar with the DCU: the author has no shame, so characters and ideas from the Golden Age, post-Crisis, and New 52 have all been thrown together and mixed up. There will be endless surprises (and disasters). As for all the real-life historical figures who will make their grand entrances later, hey, even Obama appears in New 52, doesn't he? Friends, welcome to Earth-95!
