Natsume's Book of Friends: The □□ Companion

"Hey, are you alone too? Then come play with me!" That was the heroine's opening line, simple and direct. Her actions, however, were a little alarming: she pointed a baseball bat in her right hand at our hero, Natsume Shiki, her eyes full of menace. That was Natsume and Yamaguchi Mahiro's first meeting. The heroine is a violent girl who will swing anything she can use as a weapon to hit someone. Of course, after meeting Natsume, her targets weren't limited to people anymore. Most of them were yokai. Natsume was shunned because he'd had supernatural powers since childhood. Yamaguchi was shunned because she'd been violent by nature since childhood. When these two met, the result was a farce. This story has its healing moments, but the heroine brings more laughs than anything else. This is not a Mary Sue story, and the heroine is no saint. It's just a funny, slightly heartwarming (and bloody) story about a violent girl and a boy who can see yokai, growing up together as childhood friends.
