[Natsume's Book of Friends] Mu Chongguang

"Language is both an ability and a kind of power." As the girl said this, a smile appeared at the corner of her lips. Her beautiful amber eyes shimmered, and the soft, clear end of her voice rose slightly. "Remember, be careful not to tell people your name just like that. Losing your name is the same as losing your whole self." A name is a curse, and a kind of word-spirit. "What a strange person." The boy laughed as he spoke. His clean-cut profile, warmed by the morning sunlight, was gentle and soft, like a March breeze mixed with the pure freshness of grass. "?? In that case, should I give your name back to you?" Dawn broke. The withered cherry tree beside the torii was once again bathed in the first light, its thick, old trunk stretching endlessly toward the farthest reaches of the sky. That was the most beautiful light in the world. Reading notes: ◇ The heroine is Taki Minato, a kotodama user. Though she shares the surname Taki, she has little to do with Taki Tooru. ◆ The story is mostly original, with many original yokai and characters. It's all right if you can't keep track of them. ◇ I'll try to follow the style of Natsume's Book of Friends, though some characters may be a little out of character... probably. ◆ The blessings and such in the story are all sourced from Baidu. Some plot points may be inspired by other manga, so please don't start a fight over it. ◇ The cover and profile art were all made by my sweetheart. The first link in my profile friends list is my true love. ◆ I'm going into my second year of high school. For now, I'll probably only update on two evenings each weekend, so updates may be weekly or twice a week. ◇ Just to avoid any confusion... although the title is written in traditional characters, the story itself uses simplified characters, so you can read it without worry. =w= ◆ Click to play the music. It's the character song for my favorite character in one of my favorite games. It's called "Song of the Jellyfish" (...) This story is going premium this Friday, August 24, so I'll probably have to say goodbye to a lot of you girls QAQ Thank you all so much for your support and company along the way. I'm truly grateful. The whole story is about 300,000 characters long, so you can decide whether you want to keep reading. I remember all the secret identities of everyone who's left me a message. Thank you. There will be three chapters on the day it goes premium. You can also earn points by commenting: the longer the comment, the more points, and comments over 25 characters earn points. I'll add extra chapters for long reviews, and post three chapters if you send me a gift. (menacing face) New story link: Theme:
