Swaying (GL)

How much misunderstanding can love endure, surviving a snow-filled winter? How deep a bond can a single sentence tear apart, leaving us farther from each other than strangers? The more our love once burned like a flame, the more certain it was to be snuffed out by the wind. Sometimes the truth cuts too deep, and someone has no choice but to lie. If time could turn back, what could I do? Find what you never said, but wanted. If I had never let go, years from now, would you blame me, hate me, or be moved? To wonder "what if" is the emptiest kind of pain. How many times must someone watch love wither before they are willing to hibernate alone? The more our love once burned like a flame, the more certain it was to be snuffed out by the wind. Sometimes the truth cuts too deep, and someone has no choice but to lie. Why is all happiness just a dream? The closer we get to heaven, the sooner we wake. Perhaps love is more like a falling leaf: it seems to soar, yet it is falling. If time could turn back, what could I do? Find what you never said, but wanted. If I had never let go, years from now, would you blame me, hate me, or be moved? If time really could turn back, what would you do? Choose me all over again, or refuse to hold me? If I let go gently, would you understand that even after taking a wrong turn, you can still come back? To wonder "what if" is a helpless loneliness. Xin Yue Tuan, "What If" Theme:
