Transmigrating to Open a Restaurant in the 1970s

After transmigrating to the early years of the new republic, when supplies were scarce, Song Qiaoyin became an orphan everyone could bully.

After enduring hunger, hardship, and poverty, she simply picked up a spatula and opened a little eatery in a military camp.

She could turn coarse grains into delicacies and wild greens into savory dishes.

With the warmth of her cooking, she fed the battle-hardened soldiers of a difficult era.

Pei Zhiyuan, the battalion commander feared by the whole army, returned from the battlefield cold and unfeeling.

The only thing he craved was the warmth of her home cooking.

The world feared his iron resolve and sharp edge,

But he was willing to protect a humble cook and keep her safe from every hardship life could bring.

Smoke rises from the kitchens of the 1950s, and the mountains and rivers are filled with warmth.
