The Earl and the Kitchen Maid

The cool evening breeze has blown across the Count's estate in Xiwei Town for as long as anyone can remember.

The estate is magnificent and quiet, forever filled with the sweet scent of cream and baked goods.

Everyone enjoys the ease and dignity of aristocratic life, while the kitchen is always sweltering with heat and heavy with smoke.

Liz has worked here as a cook for five years.

She entered the estate at nineteen. Now she is twenty-four.

Over those five years, she has quietly, humbly, and wordlessly given the estate's master, Count Oren, the best years of her youth, her purest devotion, and her tenderest love.
