I'm a Veterinarian in a Cursed World

After transmigrating to a world overrun by the uncanny, Zhu Yuan becomes a veterinarian and is bound to a Veterinary System. As long as he treats animals, he can earn rewards from the System.

What if he knows nothing about veterinary medicine? No problem. He can try treating them and hope for the best!

A strange sheep-headed creature appears in the countryside at night. Zhu Yuan's eyes light up as he grabs his animal-control pole:

"Fantastic, a sheep-headed beast!"

"Your limbs are stiff and your mouth is wide open. It must be a bacterial infection! Be a good little sheep and let me drive away your illness~"

Human-head balloons fill the sky. Zhu Yuan's eyes shine as he pulls out his scalpel:

"Fantastic, a balloon beast!"

"Your eyes are bulging and your body is floating off the ground. You must have parasites! Relax, I've put medicine on this blade. One dose and the bugs are gone!"

The last bus is carrying a whole load of eerie shadows. Zhu Yuan runs after it with his medical kit:

"Fantastic, a bus beast... Hey, driver, wait! I haven't gotten on yet!"

And so Zhu Yuan goes further and further down the path of veterinary medicine...

If Heaven had not brought forth Zhu the Veterinarian, the path of medicine would have been dark for all eternity!

The many uncanny creatures: ...

Is this even human?

Is "beast" in veterinarian an adjective now??

Many years later, a reporter interviews Zhu Yuan and asks what the greatest difficulty he encountered on his path to eliminating the uncanny was.

Zhu Yuan folds his hands, his expression grave:

"Passing the veterinary licensing exam."

Reporter: ...?
