After being framed, impostor Master Takehara Rumu signed a contract with the Temporal Government and became a Saniwa.
The citadel he was assigned was full of “discarded” swords:
Hasebe, stubbornly waiting for him to fulfill his promise; Yagen, anxiously afraid the next Saniwa would mistreat his little brothers; Kiyomitsu, traumatized...
Seeing the swords in desperate need of treatment and a thorough overhaul, Takehara Rumu, who had only planned to coast along and do the bare minimum, said:
“Don’t worry. I’ll treat you, then you.”
Too attached to the past?
He turned around and brought the swords’ former former former masters over from Chaldea.
“Just take him in. I don’t care how you do it.”
Nobunaga and Souji looked at the Master trying to shirk his responsibilities: ?
Takehara Rumu, dragged over there: “Everyone, line up for sword maintenance first. We’ll repair the swords, then rebuild the citadel, and so on. Basically, I want to lie flat, so handle things yourselves.”
Yagen and Nobunaga, both radiating an intimidating presence, silently blocked the entrance to the citadel. The Temporal Government kept piling on endless missions: sortie, clear maps, eliminate enemies...
He had no choice but to accept his fate and try to solve every problem before he could finally lie flat.
The many Toushirou brothers’ psychological trauma was caused by their previous Saniwa being a bastard? Then he’d just have to teach them a few ways to fight back against Saniwa.
Kiyomitsu was afraid that Yasusada would be the next sword to be broken? He repaired the Shinsengumi and pointed to a corner. “Your former master’s over there. Help yourself.”
But when it came to Hasebe, who had been waiting here so desperately for him to come fulfill his promise and save him, Takehara Rumu scratched his head guiltily. “Sorry I’m late.”
The swords, now back to normal, said: “It’s fine, as long as we and our Master remain lord and retainers forever. Shouldn’t we also make sure everyone is treated equally?”
The Shinsengumi led by Souji, the Oda faction led by Nobunaga, and the Toushirou faction formed a tenuous three-way balance. Winning their Master’s attention was harder than ever (
Seeing things go south, Tsurumaru said: “I was here first! I’m the only one Master specifically chose as his attendant!”
The Saniwa, utterly hopeless at managing people, fled and decided to hide out in Chaldea for a while.
Takehara Rumu tried to coast, but one major crisis after another in Chaldea forced him to give it his all.
“What do you mean I was actually strong all along, and all I had to do was face reality and hit it with overwhelming force?”
Please, another me! Give me all your inheritance (memories).
As his stats steadily improved, he thought: Stat inflation feels amazing.
At the end of his journey, Takehara Rumu (complete form) stood opposite his corrupted self.
Before him stood “me,” who had overturned the Human Order in his own worldline and started over; a person who had reached the Root; and a boss trying to unify the Human Order’s endings across every worldline.
The two stared at each other: “I’ve forgotten what came before and what came after. Anyway, am I your Master?”
Takehara Rumu Alter never imagined that his other self from another worldline would be so lazy as to abandon his great undertaking and save the Human Order instead.
Wasn’t he supposed to incinerate the world?
The swords and Heroic Spirits answered: “Maybe we became the anchors of his humanity again.”
After Takehara Rumu finally defeated the last boss, he turned around and realized he’d already defeated all the enemies.
He’d only wanted to slack off. How had he turned into a model worker?
Here’s one of my upcoming stories:
“Ten Best Citadels from Scratch”: Small-town top student Chu Ze is approaching graduation season, but he still hasn’t found a job he likes.
Every job either only offered one day off a week or required twelve-hour workdays. Entry-level jobs paid just 5,000 a month, with no guarantee of a permanent position.
Just as he was losing hope in the job market, he received an offer from the Temporal Government:
A base salary of 20,000 a month, work from home, no experience required, with even better compensation for outstanding performance.
He was tempted and signed the contract online right away.
The contract was for twenty years? That meant the job was stable.
But when he got there, he was told that since the Temporal Government had recently recruited too many Saniwa, its resources were scarce. The Saniwa would have to build and expand their citadels from scratch.
Chu Ze looked at the mansion of the big shot beside him, then at his own bare plot of land. He and his starter sword stared at each other.
? Why the preferential treatment?
There was nothing for it. He and the swords had to start by hauling bricks in exchange for basic supplies.
But there was hope. Chu Ze received a mysterious farming System from the big shot Takehara: farming had a chance to yield double crops, and when the sword warriors went on sorties, they could randomly pick up any supplies along the way.
As soon as the sword warriors were summoned, their Saniwa sent them on expeditions without letting them do anything else.
They were short on supplies here and short on supplies there. They had to build up their operation step by step!
Starting from barren land, the citadel built its first house, then fields, cherry trees, dormitories...
Years later, Chu Ze looked over the sprawling complex, now bustling with people and thriving, and finally made the Temporal Government’s list of the ten best citadels.
P.S. The reward for making the top ten is an annual salary of one million plus permanent ownership of a home in the citadel.
Theme: Humanity’s legacy will endure forever.
To be honest, I personally don't like the sword of "partisanship"... Whether it is "competing for favor" by relying on the number of people or trying to be a reliable right-hand man, it is very disturbing... We are just colleagues, and as subordinates, just perform their duties. Even friends and family, being too clingy and insisting on competing makes me feel uncomfortable, so I still like Tsurumaru the best. He does things when he has something to do, and plays by himself when nothing happens. It is good for everyone to leave some space.
Order Shanguda: Xiaoliu, let's go to the singularity to play!
Chaos Evil Guda: Dear Liu Jiang, what are they talking about? They are so noisy, kill them! (Afterimage Liu-chan: Yes!)
BEAST: For the sake of humanity! For all past, present and future humans and non-humans! I can do anything! (Create Utopia Tree) (Create Anecdote Belt) (Create Gaia) (Create Alaya Consciousness) (Create Imaginary Tree?)
It turns out that Xiao Liuwu is a little dragon (!)
Will Kurikara feel friendly? After all, he also has a dragon pattern [dog head holding a rose]
