A Marriage Gone Awry

Xia Meng had been married to Xie Lindong for three years. They treated each other with respect, yet she had always kept a secret in her heart.

She could still vaguely remember Shi Qiu's last glance. It was a look that lasted an eternity, and from then on, it became a scar she could never erase.

She was enamored with Xie Lindong's eyes and gentle manner, so much like Shi Qiu's. It was only when guilt gradually consumed her that she finally made up her mind to ask him for a divorce.

As expected, Xie Lindong reacted fiercely and flatly refused. Yet, absurdly, she felt relieved.

She must have gone mad, lost her way. She no longer knew when love became anger, or when infatuation became obsession.

But just as Xia Meng decided to put aside her memories of Shi Qiu and build a life with Xie Lindong, she unexpectedly met Xie Chunran, Xie Lindong's “younger sister,” who had just returned from studying abroad.

She realized with a shock that she wasn't the only one harboring ulterior motives in this marriage, in this relationship.

They were trapped in the same delusional marriage, deceiving themselves with their similar faces, indebted to each other and tormenting one another.

In this mess born of obsession, should they cut their losses and part ways, or sink deeper into the illusion and keep making the same mistake?
