All These Years I've Secretly Loved the Boss

The longest dream Wangyue Chenghai ever had began in high school, when her family arranged for her to be by Sawada Tsunayoshi's side.

From the cherry blossoms of Namimori to the winter snows of Palermo, from a flustered boy to a steady and dependable Godfather.

As his secretary, she watched his turbulent life unfold and hid her own unspeakable feelings.

His heart belonged to a white moonlight, and she knew she could never enter that part of his life.

So she devoted herself to her duties, swallowing both her love and her bitterness, becoming nothing but his most capable blade and shield.

Later, when they had finally established themselves in Italy, and their relationship had crossed the line into something ambiguous, she was the first to come to her senses.

"I should go back to Japan," she said.

He was silent for a long time, then replied with only one word: "Okay."

She thought this was the best ending: returning to where they had started, each going their own way in peace.

Until, six months later, she received news of Sawada Tsunayoshi's death.

If only I had known, I would rather never have come to my senses.
