[JX3 Fanfiction] Beyond Yumen Pass

Seven years ago, through the blinding yellow sand, she met that blue-eyed young man from the Mingjiao.

They danced with swords beneath the moon, followed the stars to find their way, and promised to share a drink outside Yumen Pass every Lantern Festival.

Seven years later, she returned to the old place. All that remained was the curved blade he left behind when he died for his faith, engraved with the words: “May I become a star, shining forever to light your way.”

She wandered through the misty rains of Jiangnan and crossed the snowy wastes of the north, but no one else would ever watch with her the same sky of stars in which he had become eternal.

“The winds and sands of the Longmen Desert are unchanged. But the one who once vowed never to lose his way will never return.”
