[Ace of Diamond] Chasing the Light

Seven years ago, the shy art student Nishimura Miyuki met the dazzling baseball prodigy Miyuki Kazuya at Seido High. A mix-up during roll call brought the fates of two people named Miyuki together.

She secretly sketched the light he shone on the field, while he unexpectedly confessed his feelings beneath the lights of the art studio.

Later, however, Nishimura Miyuki chose to leave for Paris, leaving behind the painting titled Light and a resolute breakup.

Seven years later, the now-famous artist Nishimura Miyuki returns home to hold an exhibition, only to run into her ex-boyfriend at a bar. He has become a professional player.

Fueled by alcohol, they spend a reckless night together. When they wake, all that remains is awkwardness and feelings from the past that have yet to fade.

She pretends to be carefree. "Just an accident between adults."

Note: A short story combining youthful angst with over-the-top urban melodrama. OOC warning.
